Therapy:

Therapy is an invitation. To understand yourself and what’s brought you here. So many of us feel stuck, disconnected or simply overwhelmed and unhappy. The therapeutic relationship is a collaboration, designed to help you unravel your internal conflicts and uncover your inner wisdom, guiding you towards the life you wish to call in.

I practice long term, individual adult therapy. I work with a psychodynamic approach, helping to bring unconscious thoughts and behavioural patterns to light. Our work together is deeply intuitive. I offer a humanistic, person-centred approach, and adapt my practice according to your needs. I am curious as to how emotion can sit in the body, and lead to experiences, pain and disturbance that modern medicine can’t always explain. I have a deep interest in relational therapy. I believe our relationships, communities and interactions with the world are key factors in our wellbeing. I enjoy working creatively and utilising methods that are person suited, to encourage self-expression.

About Me:

I am originally from England. I’ve lived in Aotearoa since September 2023. I’ve practiced as a medical doctor since 2019 and worked in a variety of specialties, predominantly psychiatry. I have always been fascinated by people and their stories, endeavouring to understand the emotional, psychological and spiritual architecture of a person, holding strong belief that this is where true healing is found. As a doctor, I’ve been privy to some of the most private and vulnerable moments in people’s lives. It was always the therapeutic conversations I’d have with patients and their families, where I could offer understanding and compassion, that was the most affirming aspect of my job. I know personally how transformative therapy can be. I see therapy as facilitating a place of safety to really get to the heart of a person’s issues, to help people re-write their stories, and find lasting support, connection and change.
