Helping you find your way - Supervisor and clinician specialising in grief, loss, and complex transitions

I am a registered psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor working with adults aged 18 and over.

I offer support for people experiencing:

  • grief and loss (and non death loss)
  • bereavement
  • trauma
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • relationship difficulties
  • and other forms of emotional distress.

Many of the people I work with are navigating experiences that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to talk about, and are looking for a steady, compassionate place to begin.

Alongside my private practice, I work at Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington, supporting patients and whānau through end-of-life care and complex grief. This work has shaped a way of being with people that is careful, respectful, and attuned to emotional, relational, and embodied experiences.

My main therapeutic approach is Transactional Analysis, and I work in a relational, trauma-informed and integrative way. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each person, drawing on a range of approaches where helpful. This could include EMDR for complex trauma, mindfulness-based work, creative and embodied approaches such as sand-tray or walking therapy, and, if appropriate, animal-assisted work. I pay attention to the whole person — thoughts and feelings, relationships, physical experience, meaning, and connection to place.

I offer therapy face to face, online, and by telephone. My aim is to provide a calm, grounded, and supportive therapeutic space where people can feel met at their own pace, and supported to explore experiences that may have previously felt unseen or hard to bring into the light.

I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists. My approach to supervision is warm, collegial, and ethically grounded, with a strong focus on creating a safe and thoughtful space for reflective practice. I value supervision as a place where therapists can bring their biggest challenges and failures, their learning edges and celebrations, and everything in between. My intention is to support practitioners to think deeply about their work, remain ethically sound, and sustain themselves in meaningful clinical practice.
