There are times in life when we need someone to talk to who will not judge us or make us feel ashamed. I seek to provide a place where women and men are able to process the disappointments of life that lead to unhelpful behaviours and difficult relationships.

Counselling/Therapy Services

I have worked with men and women helping them deal with the issues that caused them to feel trapped in the life they have. Hurts and frustrations and expectations that lead to depression and anxiety. With my work with couples I provide a safe environment where they can explore the issues that have caused them to build walls rather than bridges between themselves.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

My primary training is in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Narrative Therapy. CBT helps to explore unhelpful behaviours in order to develop a new way of thinking about life. Narrative Therapy helps us explore the things we believe about ourselves that were helpful when we were younger but have become problematic in adult life. I have trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples which is a proven method to help couples rebuild trust and deepen their love for each other.

Background and Experience

I have over 20 years of pastoral experience which equips me to understand the place of faith in a person’s life and the human need and desire for a sense of purpose in life. Along with my training in modern counselling methods I am able to bring a holistic approach to our work together to develop a greater sense of well-being.

Supervision Services

I am qualified to supervise community workers and pastoral workers as well as offering mentoring to those who would like to develop new life goals. What I bring to my supervision and mentoring clients is a curiosity as to how they may use their strengths and talents to best serve their clients and how their weaknesses might be utilised to improve their services.
