Counselling and psychotherapy for individuals

I am a naturally caring, respectful, and hopeful practitioner, and these qualities form the foundation of my work and the therapeutic relationship we build together.

Your counselling will be grounded in respectful conversations where we work together to understand what’s troubling you and to discover new ways of moving forward towards clarity, self-empowerment and change.

I can help you with

  • stress
  • anxiety
  • depression
  • trauma
  • self-esteem
  • confidence
  • challenging behaviours
  • habits and addictions
  • relationships
  • communication
  • life stages
  • anger
  • sexuality
  • spirituality
  • identity concerns
  • chronic pain

My counselling approach

My approach is reflective, collaborative, and responsive to the person in front of me.

Rather than applying a fixed model, I work with what is present, helping you make sense of your inner world and develop more capacity to meet difficult emotions, thoughts, or relational patterns with awareness and care.

I work integratively, holding mind, body, and inner experience together. Each person brings their own story, and within that story are the clues for healing, movement, and change.

Thearapeutic modalities informing my work:

  • Person-centred (Rogerian) therapy
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Hakomi
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Non-Violent Communication (NVC)
  • Mindfulness and Spirituality frameworks
  • Jungian & Symbolic workThese are used flexibly and thoughtfully, always in service of what feels most helpful for you.

About me

I’m originally from England and have lived in New Zealand since 2004. My background includes many years in the creative industries before moving into counselling and psychotherapy, a shift shaped by a long-standing interest in inner life, meaning, and human experience.

I’ve worked with organisations including Home and Family Counselling, Family Works Northern, ManAlive, and The Youth Health Hub. I now work exclusively in private practice, supporting individuals from my consulting rooms in Auckland.
