My name is Ingrid and I’m a NZ-born Samoan/Cook Island Counsellor, Addictions Practitioner and Clinical Supervisor with 15 years of counselling and clinical practice. I have worked extensively alongside tangata whai ora including some of our most marginalised whānau, supporting individuals through life challenges with compassion, respect and cultural understanding. I strive to create a safe space for whai ora to be who they truly are, able to stand in their own mana. My approach is collaborative, reflective and grounded in ethical, culturally responsive, client-centred practice.
As a Supervisor, I am committed to providing professional supervision that fosters both professional and personal growth. I support practitioners to navigate complex clinical work, strengthen their skills and confidence to develop greater self-awareness in their professional role. I value and work to develop a supervision relationship that is safe, meaningful and empowering.
Healing begins with connection – if you are seeking a counsellor or clinical supervisor, please feel free to get in touch for a confidential chat where I will be happy to answer any further queries you have.
