Psychotherapy

Life can be a rocky road at times. Psychotherapy enables you to think and feel differently. Our work together will help you cope better with challenges and enjoy more authentic relationships with others and yourself. As you develop new ways to manage overwhelming feelings, like emotional pain and anxiety, you will be able to move through these difficulties to greater freedom and happiness.

Therapy Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative. I use various techniques and models to meet my clients’ particular needs, including the gentle exploration of their unconscious psychodynamics. Whether short-term or long-term support and guidance is required, I employ strength-based and collaborative processes to ultimately help improve my clients’ resilience and enjoyment of life.

However, independent of the therapeutic tools I use or the issues that you bring, I will give you unwavering support and empathy in our sessions. I believe the experience of trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship is crucial for healing and change.

Background and Experience

I have trained and worked in the counselling and therapy field for many years, seeing clients come from all walks of life.
I come from a background in music therapy and have worked in agency settings and private practice. Furthermore, I am bilingual, speaking both English and German.

Originally from Germany, I am particularly interested in cross-cultural and migration issues. As well as this, I have experience with chronically ill clients. As such, I have an ongoing interest in the implications of long-term illness on our psychological well-being.

I engage in regular supervision and continuous professional development.
