Welcome

My name is Andy McCormack and at Its My Life you will be working with me.

I have been working as a Counsellor and Career Coach for over 15 years with a focus on supporting my clients on their journey through life.

Counselling 

There are times in all of our lives when things feel tough, when challenges get hard or when events impact us deeply. At times like these we can feel like the jigsaw pieces that make up the picture of who we are don’t fit so well any more. 

My role is to work with you to build the jigsaw picture for the life that you want. To look at the pieces of your world, to see what pieces need to change, what pieces are broken and need fixing, what pieces are important and what pieces are no longer required. 

I know it is sometimes daunting and uncomfortable to reach out to talk about what is happening for you in life – my goal is to make you feel more comfortable with doing this, so that you feel supported and guided as we work through the challenges of life together.

I provide a safe space for you to explore the challenges that you are facing in your world, whatever they maybe.

I provide a holistic, Client-centred counselling approach which takes us on a journey that is unique to you. 

My Life

I came to NZ over 20 years ago from the UK, and didn’t know anyone here. I have built my life here and have had many good, and not so good, experiences along the way. I have a blended family of 5 kids (one with a disablity) so can relate to the busy lives people lead along with the pressure and challenges that go along with that.

I became a Counsellor because I wanted to make a positive difference to people’s lives. It is a privilege to share your journey with you and help you to say “Its My Life”
