Life is a challenge, exciting but also full of hurdles and roadblocks. We need to navigate a pathway through these and develop strategies to overcome these impediments to achieving a feeling of positive well being, effective relationships and belief in one self. I am here to work with you to achieve this.
I work with individuals, groups or teams to and facilitate understanding, clarity of direction and goal setting. Through counselling, personal and professional coaching, and experiential activities I believe in getting the best out of the individual, group or team.
Are helping clients work through grief, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, lack of self esteem, decision making as well as career issues and change including application processes, interview techniques and preparation.
As an experiential trainer in group work key areas would be dealing with conflict, time management, goal setting, effective communication, negotiation skills, giving and receiving feedback, leadership styles, team development and for whatever are the clients’ needs.
I offer counselling and coaching using an eclectic ARPI model/ framework and will work with you in a trusting therapeutic relationship empowering you to navigate your way to make changes in your life or lives.
It takes courage to actually admit I am not ok but by doing so it is the first step to achieve the goal of being ok.
My initial experience and background was a school guidance counsellor during and after my training and study towards my Diploma Guidance and Counselling at Massey University.
Throughout my years as a Senior Manager, culminating in my role of Principal at Kristin School I continued to utilise my counselling skills, training staff and students through experiential activities to work effectively with teams and groups. I also ran counselling skills workshops.
In my career change to Human Resources Coach at the largest law from in NZ my role was to recruit young law students from the universities, develop and facilitate training modules in such skills as time management , conflict resolution, negotiation and at the law schools interviews skills, and CV preparation. A key part of the role was to provide an in house counselling service to all staff and partners.
Since setting up my own business, High Performance Coach, I have continued to offer counselling and coaching to clients in person and on zoom and Skype. I’ve also presented at conferences in Australasia and run workshops in people focussed skills.
