Supporting you towards Being and Becoming Your True Self

I am a fully qualified counsellor (PGDip Psychosynthesis Counselling) and have been practicing since 2016. I am committed to ethical practice and ongoing professional development and am a full member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors.

I practice from a Psychosynthesis perspective, also calling on aspects of Internal Family Systems, Gestalt techniques and an understanding of attachment theory and the autonomic nervous system.  I facilitate clients’ own exploration of their inner world – body, mind, feelings, intuition, imagination, desires and impulses – and how these impact their behaviour and relationships in the external world.  I support clients to examine their conflicted motivations and how these serve and/or limit what they want for their lives and experiment with how willing they are to make change.  Together we aim towards self-expression that is aligned with their purpose, meaning and value in life.

I undertake counselling with people aged 18+, of varying genders and cultures.  Common issues I have worked with include grief, suicide bereavement, relationships, employment, separation, trauma, parenting, depression and anxiety.  The length of my counselling relationships have ranged from one to over 100 sessions per client.  In general, I find that weekly sessions are most beneficial for the client.
