Jemma Allen

Counsellor

I’m an experienced counsellor who uses a range of approaches to best meet your goals for coming to counselling.

I intend our work together to empower you to make the changes you desire in your life, in the context of your own values, culture and beliefs.

I work with experiences of living with chronic or life-limiting illnesses, depression, anxiety, trauma, transition, grief, working cross-culturally as expatriates and NGO workers and many of the other complexities of being human: family relationships, sexuality, spirituality and identity.

A lot of my work is in the rainbow community, particularly around faith/spirituality and recovery from religious abuse. I have a particular interest in faith deconstruction/reconstruction.

I work primarily with adults, and also have experience working with high school-aged teenagers.
