Working Together
I support adults in navigating life’s challenges — from feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain, to moving through significant life changes. Therapy with me offers space to explore patterns, deepen self-understanding, and develop practical ways to cope, grow, and move forward.
What to Expect from Therapy
Working together isn’t just about talking or receiving advice. Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore who you are, understand how your past has shaped you, and reflect on how you want to relate to yourself and others moving forward. Together, we’ll work to understand recurring patterns, recognise your strengths, and find meaningful ways to create change in your life.
My Therapeutic Approach
I see the therapeutic relationship itself as a powerful opportunity for healing and growth. My work is primarily grounded in Transactional Analysis (TA), a humanistic and existential approach that views the whole person and affirms that people are inherently okay. This means that regardless of behaviour or past experiences, every individual has worth, value, and dignity. Rather than focusing on what is “wrong,” I support people in fulfilling their potential and enhancing well-being by exploring how personality, coping styles, and relational patterns have been shaped by early experiences, particularly in childhood.
I also integrate Gestalt techniques, Attachment Theory, and insights from Neuroscience into my work. I’m always happy to talk through what this looks like in practice and answer any questions you may have.
Note – I currently have availability for in-person sessions on Thursdays. Meeting online via Zoom may allow for more flexibility in finding a time that works for you.
While I speak basic German, I do not have the fluency to offer therapy fully in German. Please let me know if this is relevant for you.
Yes and no. Both are usually talk-based and can be very helpful. Counselling often focuses more on current difficulties and the challenges happening around you, while psychotherapy tends to place greater emphasis on understanding what’s happening within you — including patterns shaped by early life experiences, relationships, and personality. This distinction isn’t absolute, and there is overlap, but psychotherapy aims to deepen self-understanding by exploring how past and present experiences influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour today.
We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and whether working together feels like a good fit.
