Counselling for young people and young adults

I provide counselling for young people and young adults, working in a client-led, relational way that is responsive to each person’s needs and stage of life. This means we go at your pace, and you get to have a real say in what our work looks like.

Sometimes things just feel messy, confusing, or overwhelming, and my role is to help you slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and figure out what might help you move forward.

I am passionate about supporting clients to develop understanding, resilience, and confidence as you navigate emotional and relational challenges. This can look like building skills around healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, boundaries, and communication, tools that can make a big difference in how you feel about yourself and how you move through the world.

I offer a non judgmental space where your wellbeing and safety are prioritized. Whether you’re dealing with relationship stress, big emotions, family challenges, or just trying to understand yourself better, you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll work together to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and genuinely supportive.

My practice is informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, Transactional Analysis, along with a variety of other effective modalities. I am also trained in Interactive Drawing Therapy (IDT). I adapt these approaches to suit each individual. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and focused on what feels most useful in your everyday life.

When working with younger clients, parent/caregiver involvement is considered thoughtfully and in line with ethical and confidentiality guidelines.

About Me

After obtaining my degree in 2022, I began work as a counsellor in a specialist family violence agency, working predominately with young people who have experienced violence and abuse. Alongside my 1-1 client work in the agency, I also facilitate safety programmes for women victim/survivors of intimate partner violence. In the preventative space, I have created and facilitated youth programmes in schools, with a focus on healthy relationships. I am passionate about helping youth and young adults develop the skills and knowledge they might need to live the life they desire, and regularly attend trainings and professional development opportunities to ensure I can provide the best support and care possible.

I am the eldest in a very blended family and have lived through a wide range of life experiences that have shaped my desire to support others through challenging times. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how life events can impact people, and the meaningful difference that consistent, supportive relationships can make.
