Counselling Services

I offer a warm, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can talk through your concerns, understand your feelings and thought patterns, gain new insights which will enhance your psychological well being, and explore possibilities for the future. I believe I have an approach which sets people at ease and I will listen with a keen professional ear, always bringing empathy and expertise to our sessions.

Here are some of the many ways that counselling can help you:

  • Recognising your strengths, values and identity
  • Seeing how past influences have shaped you and identifying your current needs
  • Improving coping strategies by applying proven evidence-based tools and techniques
  • Strengthening decision making
  • Exploring future possibilities in a safe, non-judgemental space
  • Improving communication in your relationships

As a Christian  I count it a privilege to be able to integrate spiritual perspectives into our sessions if you would like to do this, but there is certainly no expectation to do so. I will take your lead on this.

Counselling Approach

I use an integrated counselling approach (so I draw from a wealth of proven psychological approaches depending on the particular needs of the client). I have training, knowledge and experience in Narrative Therapy, Group Therapy, Couple therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focussed Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy. The importance of finding your own voice, meaning and purpose is also a strong interest for me – these are existential concerns. Being true to yourself in a world full of noise is, I believe, key to finding contentment.

I also have considerable experience in entrepreneurial ventures having established several small to medium sized businesses in the past. Because of this, I can offer a safe space to brainstorm and discuss ideas that you may have for a new future in terms of lifestyle, and home/work balance.
