Counselling Services

The frequency and length of time for counselling sessions will depend on what your needs are and why you have come to counselling. I offer both short term and long term counselling and psychotherapy to clients who are struggling with finding a sense of self, enjoyment or fulfilment in life.

I am experienced with working with trauma and PTSD that has become embedded/embodied. This means that I will help connect the mind and body after the experience of trauma and integrate the parts that may have become fractured. We can work together to help you to live with the memories of the past without being overwhelmed with them in the present.

I am trained to help you understand and modify your own behavioural and emotional patterns, to deal with whatever this brings to light and support you through your process. This creates a space where you can have increased awareness and a fresh perspective on your past and present difficulties.

If you have received a diagnosis of PTSD, I can recommend the book “The Body Keeps The Score” Bessel Van Der Kolk. It provides an in-depth explanation of the mind, brain and body in the transformation of trauma.
