No one is immune to life’s challenges. At some point, we all face struggles – with relationships, self-worth, burnout, or just the heavy feeling that something isn’t quite right.
Whether you are navigating a specific issue, seeking greater understanding, or looking for support to grow and thrive – you don’t have to face it alone.
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer individual therapy to help ease symptoms and uncover the deeper patterns influencing your emotions, actions, and relationships. Together we can bring those patterns into the light, so you can make empowered choices and lasting change, and live with greater confidence and resilience.
I offer a warm, safe and non-judgmental space to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, build self-awareness and move toward a healthier, more connected and confident version of yourself. My style is flexible, responsive, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each person.
Therapy isn’t just about resolving a single issue – often the benefits ripple out into every part of your life.
I also provide clinical supervision for psychotherapists and clinicians, and professional supervision for individuals in various fields. My approach integrates psychodynamic principles, attachment theory, and a range of psychological and holistic frameworks to support reflective practice, skills development, professional growth, as well as navigating the day-to-day challenges of your mahi.
Whether you’re seeking clinical insight or professional growth, my aim is to provide a thoughtful, supportive space that encourages growth, resilience, confidence and improved outcomes.
I have always been drawn to helping people, a calling shaped by my own journey through mental health challenges as a teen and young adult. Before entering psychotherapy, I spent a number of years living and teaching overseas, connecting with people from many walks of life. That global experience taught me the value of listening deeply – across cultures, languages and beliefs.
I whakapapa Māori but was raised Pākehā, and I continue to walk in both worlds as I grow in my own cultural identity.
Professionally, I have worked in health across a wide spectrum of NGO and government services – from residential addiction and kaupapa Māori homelessness services, to tertiary education, primary and community healthcare and within the national health system. I have experience in a variety of roles from individual psychotherapy through to residential service manager and strategic clinical leadership at a regional level. I have supported individuals, groups and families through trauma, addiction, mood/personality disorders, relationship issues and challenging life transitions. I am also a board trustee for a mental health charity in the Waikato.
I have experience and interest working across a broad range of areas and issues, however hold a particular interest in the following:
Psychotherapy
Clinical/Professional Supervision
Seeking support is a courageous step – and finding the right fit matters. If anything here resonates, I’d be happy to connect and see how I can support you.
