Compassionate Holistic Care

Taking care of the mind, emotions, body and spirit in a holistic way.

We are so connected to the world around us – our relationships, our environment, our thoughts and others’ thoughts – it can be overwhelming, scary, and confusing sometimes.

Its important we find safe and connected ways for our minds and bodies to settle and calm.

I provide counselling, and energy and consciousness-based healing from my home clinic that has a big sliding door with beautiful space looking onto trees and very close to ‘the healing waters’ of Waiake.

A little about the therapies:

Narrative Therapy (counselling) creates precious space to discover more about ourselves: our strengths and values, belief systems, and identification of external power dynamics in our world. This gives us the power to re-position ourselves in relation to the problem, developing a deeper sense of empowerment with more opportunities becoming visible and accessible.

Energy and Consciousness-Based Healing using Reiki and/or Mindscape (Body Talk) Intuitive Readings. This is gentle, deep, and powerful holistic work that supports the body/emotions/mind/spirit beyond our conscious thinking. These approaches help to calm and relax the body, and may help dismantle patterns like intergenerational trauma, or the ‘fear/stress’ loop that our body/mind may find itself caught up in.

We can do any one, or any mix, of these modalities as they are needed.

A little about Me:

I have been practicing Reiki for over 30 years. I first discovered Reiki when I experienced the many challenges from a serious car accident together with the stress in my work life at the time. Reiki made the biggest difference then and throughout my life. I became a Narrative Therapist with another life and career change. I love it because it is gentle and powerful, creatively making space for us to approach our situations with new perspectives and awareness.

I have been working with youth for most of my life in a variety of ways, and as a parent of young adults I have also been through some challenging teen years too. I have published and won a Bold Innovators Scholarship for my Masters research, ‘Creating Appreciation and Community Support for Mothers Caring for a Child with Anxiety Disorder’.
