Counselling Services

I provide a non-judgmental and supportive space where the focus is on assisting you to gain insight into how previous and current events are impacting your life. Together we explore strategies to help you manage difficulties and achieve growth in different areas of your life, such as relationships, emotional well-being, career and self-esteem.

Focus areas would include implementing new coping mechanisms, building on existing inherent strengths, creating awareness around underlying feelings and identifying challenging behaviours or unhealthy strategies that are impeding your potential and impacting wellbeing.

I also provide supervision for those in the helping professions. I will work alongside you on your journey to developing skills and confidence as well as personal growth in your profession. I can offer a reduced price for supervisees who are currently students.

Counselling Approach

I adopt a collaborative approach with clients to determine goals, working in a strengths based manner. The client-centred approach builds on the premise that clients are the experts in their own life and possess the inherent ability to create solutions and understanding, underpins my practice. I use various modalities that fits with the specific client and their presenting issues. In this regard, I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), practice solution focused therapy (SFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach; and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples.
