Kia ora, I’m Louise and I am an independent counsellor, based at The Salvation Army in Lower Hutt.
I believe that each person carries their own wisdom, strength, and capacity for change, even in the moments when life feels overwhelming. In my counselling work, I offer a safe and compassionate space where you can slow down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing.
Together we explore the patterns, emotions and stories that shape your life—gently uncovering what’s helpful, and what may be holding you back. I support you to build greater emotional regulation, recognise negative cycles, and develop healthier ways of responding to stress, conflict, and uncomfortable feelings.
My focus is on empowering you to reconnect with your strengths and values, so you can navigate challenges with more clarity, confidence, and self-understanding. Whether you’re seeking healthier relationships, better coping skills, or simply a place to be heard, I walk alongside you as you move toward a more confident sense of yourself.
