Unlocking Neurodiversity: Embrace Differences, Empower Minds

Neurodiversity 201 follows on from Neurodiversity 101 (delivered on 6 May) to dive deeper into strategies to support a high quality life for neurodivergent people. You must have completed neurodiversity 101 or similar to enrol in this course.

Essential Topics Covered:

Building on the understandings of autism, ADHD, dyslexia, OCD and others, we look at strategies to support neurodivergent people by investigating:

  • Communication differences and hands on strategies to empower communication
  • Mental health of neurodivergent people, factors influencing it and ways to promote it
  • Burnout and ways to prevent and support it
  • Providing services in a neuro-affirming way
  • Emotional regulation, overwhelm and strategies to support
  • Sensory differences and sensory interventions
