Pam Bunz – Gentle Flow Counselling

A warm, supportive space to find your way forward

I offer counselling that is warm, collaborative and responsive to what you bring. Together we can explore what is happening, understand patterns, emotions and relationships, and discover what may help you move forward.

You may be experiencing anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, stress or burnout, low self-esteem, loneliness, a life transition, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of your next steps. You may also be looking for support with communication, recurring conflict, disconnection or rebuilding trust within a relationship.

Alongside my professional experience, my own life has included experiences of cancer, grief and loss, and adoption. These experiences have given me a personal understanding that life does not always follow the path we expect, and have contributed to the warmth and compassion I bring to my counselling work.

I offer individual counselling, couples counselling, adult family counselling and CliftonStrengths coaching.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Christchurch or online.

FAQs

Q What is counselling with Pam like?

My approach is warm and collaborative. Together we can explore what is happening for you, make sense of patterns, emotions and relationships, and consider what may help you move forward.

Person-Centred and Narrative Therapy are at the heart of my work, and I draw from other therapeutic approaches where they may be helpful. I also work with strengths, helping you recognise what you already bring and how these can support you through difficult times.

Q What happens next after my first contact?

You're welcome to get in touch to ask about counselling or to see whether I may be the right fit for you. I offer an optional 10-minute phone chat before booking if you would like to talk first.

Q Do you offer online counselling?

Yes. I offer face-to-face counselling in Christchurch and online counselling across New Zealand and Australia. Online sessions are held by secure video link, allowing you to attend from a private space that works for you.

Q Can I bring my dog to counselling?

Yes. Pets are welcome at Gentle Flow. If having your dog with you would help you feel more comfortable or settled during your session, you're very welcome to bring them along.

Q Where can I find out more about Gentle Flow Counselling?

You can find more information about how I work, counselling for individuals, couples and adult families, fees, funding options and resources on my
website: gentleflow.nz

Q How do you work with couples and families?

I work with couples and adult family relationships to explore communication, recurring patterns, differences, disconnection and the strengths each person brings to the relationship.

CliftonStrengths can be used as a practical tool within this work, helping each person better understand their own strengths and those of the other person. This can create a different way of looking at differences — not simply as problems, but as qualities that may be understood and worked with.

Alongside strengths work, I draw from relationship counselling approaches to support greater understanding, communication and connection.
