About Me

I am an experienced supervisor, counsellor, mentor and mental health nurse who has worked extensively in the non-profit, health and wellbeing sectors, parallel to a 30 year nursing career in the Christchurch Specialist Mental Health service.

I currently work in private practice on a casual basis for Pathways at their Te ao Marama facility in Christchurch as a Mental health registered nurse. Te ao Marama provides a peer led, acute mental health service.

In the past I have worked as a counsellor at Petersgate Counselling Centre and have been a brief intervention co-ordinator for a local Primary Health Organisation.

Q Tell me more about supervision and coaching.

I see the supervisee as a whole person and believes all aspects of yourself including lifestyle and cultural background, can play a part in the functioning of the professional persona. I will create the space for you to safely reflect on your perspectives and support you checking in with yourself for a deeper explorations and reflections on your professional needs. Habitual thoughts patterns and perceptions possibly holding your back from growing your career or feeling comfortable in your profession.
My focus in supervision is on gaining new insights and foster self-regulation to become an increasingly advanced professional practitioner. Learning from your thoughts regarding your work practice leads to insight and integration which promotes safe practice.
