Counselling/Therapy Approach

Counselling and Psychotherapy involves regular sessions. The duration and frequency depends on the nature of the problem and individual needs.

Psychotherapy:
Longer term focusing on deep seated, persisting issues or patterns of behaviour. I am trained in Transactional Analysis (TA) which is based on the theory that decisions made in childhood have a significant influence on how we live our lives in the present. Through therapy insight can be gained about out of awareness patterns which can then be changed and resolved.

Person centered counselling:
Shorter term focusing on current stresses/issues and problem solving.
