Rachel Brown

Counsellor

My focus in counselling is to help you find meaning, strength, compassion, and wellbeing, within yourself and your relationships.

I provide a warm, non judgmental space and always aim for you to feel respected, supported, and safe. We’ll work collaboratively, at the pace that suits you.

I offer both individual counselling and couples counselling. My practice is seated in a pluralistic counselling framework. Within individual counselling I use elements of Person-centered, ACT, and narrative therapy. With couples therapy I use Gottman therapy, having completed level 1&2 training in this.

I can support you with relationships, loss, grief, worry, parenthood, and effective communication. I am passionate about supporting the rainbow community.

Where can you see me?

I run my own practice and am also a counselling partner at Little Shadow where we support clients across the transition to parenthood. I see clients in person in Tawa, Ōtaki, Paraparaumu, and via zoom.

I’d be really happy to have a 15 minute zoom session with you if you’d like to meet and see if we’re a good fit before committing to counselling.
