Rachel Burne

Counsellor

Hello!

I’m so glad you’re here! As a counsellor, I focus on building a warm, relational approach for each person I work with. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can share your thoughts, feelings, and challenges without hesitation. Together, we’ll explore different therapeutic approaches that fit your individual needs and are relevant to the journey you are on.

At the heart of my practice is a commitment to building genuine connections and empowering you to tap into your own strengths. We’ll work together to uncover valuable insights, foster resilience, and encourage positive growth in your life. I want you to feel comfortable sharing whatever brought you to counselling.

I have a Bachelor of Counselling, and I’m a Provisional Member of the New Zealand Counselling Association (NZCCA). I follow the NZCCA Code of Ethics, which means I engage in regular supervision, cultural supervision, and ongoing professional development to ensure I’m providing the best support possible. I’m here to support you.

About Me

Born and raised in Taranaki, my husband and I have been married 16 years and have two children, and since 2018 are happy to call the sunny Bay of Plenty home. In my working career, I have always been fortunate to be in roles that allow me to work alongside and with people, hearing their stories, which I love. Most recently, I have worked within agencies that specifically work with those affected by Chronic Illness and Grief and Loss. In my free time, I love walking my dog Milo, drinking good coffee, op shopping and enjoying the company of my family and good friends.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have, or to book a free 15min phone session to see if I’m the right fit.
