The freedom we seek is to use our own mind and body,
To live our own life
Know yourself to know you can.

Counselling Services

We live in a world where a formula exists for most things yet love, creativity, imagination, dreams, freedom, self-expression have no formula. They simply need nurturing.

I believe that each of us has the capacity to live full and satisfying lives. My role as a counsellor is to listen, and surround you with a non-judgemental, caring, safe and confidential environment for you to express what you may have not yet been able to voice, and empower you to build upon your strengths and find your own solutions to whatever obstacles and challenges you may want to talk about.

I will support you to understand and make sense of where you may have come to a standstill within your life. We will explore insights surrounding your emotions, thoughts and perceptions, and together enhance your healing to gain greater awareness, clarity and balance towards your inner happiness.

Counselling Approach

My approach is calming, compassionate and respectful. Primarily I use a Person Centred approach means respecting your beliefs and values as a unique individual. I will listen and walk beside you to supporting your growth, motivation and to develop a greater understanding of yourself.

I also draw on other approaches which I use as a combination, depending what will best suit your issues and will be beneficial on your path to personal wellness. These include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • (DBT Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
  • Behavioural Therapy
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Mindfulness Therapy

Background and Experience

Let me introduce myself. Within the past 25 years I have been involved in fashion, food and art. A part of my life that filled my creative side, gave me balance and, the opportunity to meet many people from all walks of life. I am very grateful.

My interest in human behaviour has always been a strong part of me and taking it to the next level as a professional counsellor has been very rewarding. I love encouraging and supporting others towards a special life that we all deserve. From my life experiences and knowledge, I am able to support individuals from many cultures and backgrounds.

Recently I have been working alongside families with the caring of their children for Karitane and have been counselling in a medical centre.
