Counselling and Psychotherapy

I work in a collaborative way, providing the space for you to gain insight into your life. Psychotherapy can help you access and change long-held beliefs, habits and patterns so you can experience a greater sense of control, ease and joy.

Couples Intensives

For couples really struggling with their relationship or who want to move things forward quickly, Couples Intensives fit a month or more of therapy into 1, 2 or 3 days.

Mediation between adult family members

For adult family members who are struggling relationally and want connection, I offer mediation as a package. Please contact me for more information.

Availability

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 8:00pm
  • Some Saturdays: 3:00pm – 8:00pm

Let’s Connect

Reaching out for support can feel challenging. Let me know if you would like to book an in-person or online session or prefer a free 15-minute chat first. I generally reply by email unless you suggest something else. It is helpful if you let me know your general availability (days & times). I look forward to hearing from you.

Q Background

I was involved in Nonviolent Communication (NVC or Compassionate Communication) trainings for many years, using NVC as a counseling approach before training as a psychotherapist. During my pychotherapy training, I spent over two years as a psychotherapist intern at an eating disorder clinic in Auckland. Upon moving to Hawke's Bay in 2021, I volunteered as a counsellor at the Heretaunga Women's Centre and continued my private practice online and in person. Originally from California, I moved to New Zealand in 2006, living in Tauranga and Auckland before moving to Napier. Let me know how you would like to be contacted (phone, text, email). I look forward to hearing from you.
