Romesha Uduwawela

Clinical Psychologist - Geneva Wellbeing

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist trained at Victoria University of Wellington, with a strong foundation in evidence-based psychological practice across children, adolescents, and adults. I bring clinical experience from a range of settings, including private practice and university-based clinics, where I have worked with diverse presentations and client groups.

I have experience in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, and have worked with a wide range of mental health concerns, including neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD, as well as anxiety, mood disorders, OCD, trauma-related difficulties, and phobias.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, primarily Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am experienced in developing and adapting treatment plans to meet individual client needs, including delivering interventions such as behavioural exposure and structured anxiety programmes.

Building collaborative, trusting therapeutic relationships and works in a culturally responsive and client-centred manner is important to me. I am committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice, and strive to provide a supportive, empowering, and effective therapeutic environment for all clients.
