Sometimes life throws up challenges that feel too complex or frightening to face alone. At these times, gaining support and talking things through with someone with an unbiased view, can make facing the crisis possible. Together we can explore how to clear the obstacles to happiness.
I can help you find meaning and purpose in life as an anchor to weather life’s storms, and as a means of engaging your will to create change and move towards what helps you become more fully alive.
I provide individual counselling, couples counselling, and clinical supervision. I also support families where one member is struggling with addiction.
I provide counselling and support for individuals and couples, creating a safe space in which to develop awareness of what is emerging in your life, and what may be blocking the path to fulfillment and happiness. My personal philosophy is that since most of our wounding occurs in relationship, there is the potential to heal that wounding within the counselling relationship. I support you to develop distress tolerance and emotional resilience to prevent the overwhelm that can occur when facing life’s challenges.
I support families when they have a loved one experiencing addiction issues.
I am a DAPAANZ Accredited Clinical Supervisor.
I am a Psychosynthesis trained counsellor. Psychosynthesis is a a psycho-spiritual psychology, attending holistically to all aspects of mind, body, and feelings.
I welcome dream work as I believe this is useful way to access our unconscious and the issues that are trying to get our attention.
I am a couples counsellor, working with couples to introduce a structured way to communicate with each other, slowing down the process and creating safety. I help you cross the bridge into each other’s world which can open up the possibility for greater understanding and empathy for the different, and equally valid, perspectives held by each partner.
I have worked in mental health most of my working life. I have specialised knowledge of addiction and contract to Higher Ground Drug and Alcohol Rehab. I have extensive knowledge of family violence. I also have a background in midwifery and maternal mental health.
