Being a parent or caregiver can be tricky, being a young person can be too. I offer a welcoming environment to connect and feel supported through whatever might be worrying you or your family. I am a registered Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist working with young people aged 3 – 25 years, and their whānau.

Common problems I help with:

  • Anxiety & separation anxiety
  • School attendance
  • Attachment concerns
  • Toileting
  • Food & eating difficulties
  • Gender & identity
  • Social media use & bullying
  • Aggression
  • Self harming behaviours
  • Low mood & depression
  • Trauma, grief & loss
  • Autism and ADHD-related concerns

How do you work?

For younger tamariki, I offer play therapy to explore thoughts and feelings, while for teenagers and adolescents, a combination of talking, art, music, games and materials, helps create a safe place to connect. My approach is client led and relational, working alongside the pace and needs of each unique family. Please visit my website or email me to find out more about how I work, and whether psychotherapy may be a good fit for you or your family.

Psychotherapy can help with:

  • Improving relationships (to ourselves and within families, communities)
  • Relieving distress
  • Developmental milestones and brain development
  • Processing difficult feelings
  • Changing stuck patterns of behaviour
  • Supporting change and transition
  • Increasing compassion and understanding
  • Finding meaning from life events
  • Putting words or play to feelings
  • Developing agency, self reflection and curiosity

My clinical training was completed as part of the Master of Psychotherapy programme at Auckland University of Technology. Additionally, I hold a Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy Studies, and Bachelor of Communication Studies.
