Background and Experience

I have been a Behavioural Optometrist for 20 years, working with individuals and families for long periods supporting visual challenges impacted by development and trauma I began volunteering as a telephone counsellor at Youthline after being trained for 6 months in Person Centred Therapy and immediately felt called into counselling. I immediately retrained as a counsellor.

My own trauma background was hugely impactful in my decision and I have learned many tools that continue to influence my own ongoing healing journey and I am better able to understand others and have compassion and empathy for their healing journey. I feel very privileged to come alongside others on their healing journey.
