Counselling/Therapy Services

Life can be challenging and overwhelming at times, and psychological distress affects each of us differently. We can often feel alone and stuck in old patterns. Psychotherapy can help us to look at and begin to change these patterns, increasing our vitality and quality of life. I work with a diverse range of people to create lasting change. I have helped people overcome both current and longstanding problems to make profound life changes. I provide a confidential and non-judgemental space, where we can work at a pace that is right for you.

Counselling/Therapy Approach

Every person is unique . While I draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities, I tailor my approach to suit your unique personality and needs. No matter what you bring I will offer a warm, attentive and sensitive environment for you to talk with me in.

I offer psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment  Therapy (ACT).

Background and Experience

I have worked a variety of NGOs, including Youthline and Youth Horizons Trust as well as specialist adult mental health services including Waitemata DHB. More recently I worked as a psychotherapist with adults for Community Mental Health (WDHB) through North Shore hospital, and I have also worked for services that specialise in providing therapy for survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence. In all of these settings I have worked as a facilitator of a variety of therapeutic groups, as well as working individually with people.
