Counselling Services

However big or small the change you seek is, I look forward to helping you create it. As you are heard, validated and supported for whatever you are going through, you will begin to feel that you are important, that you do matter. This empowers people to make decisions for themselves, their family, and their life situation. My clients find that as they become more positive about themselves, they feel encouraged to live the life that they are wanting.

I can help you develop confidence, understand your own needs better, make decisions easier, reach goals faster, build more enjoyable relationships, and overall find a peace that creates better health and wellbeing.

Counselling Approach

I offer a place that is safe, non-judgmental, impartial and confidential. I see my client’s as individuals who are the expert of their life. I will help you find your best strengths, and support you to build on them to achieve the change you are hoping for. My approach is based on Person-centred and Strengths-based counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also use methods such as mindfulness, relaxation, journaling, goal setting and teach practical coping skills. I am a flexible counsellor and will adapt my approach to fit your needs and issues.

About Me

I have worked as a counsellor at an intermediate school and Overdale Community Centre helping a wide variety of people with a broad range of issues. I have also been contracted to Melon Health as an Emotional Wellness Coach for their 12 week online programme that predominantly helped people manage anxiety and depression. Earlier in my life I lived and worked on a high country station.
