I offer a place that is safe, non-judgmental, impartial and confidential. I see my client’s as individuals who are the expert of their life. I will help you find your best strengths, and support you to build on them to achieve the change you are hoping for. My approach is based on Person-centred and Strengths-based counselling, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also use methods such as mindfulness, relaxation, journaling, goal setting and teach practical coping skills. I am a flexible counsellor and will adapt my approach to fit your needs and issues.
I have worked as a counsellor at an intermediate school and Overdale Community Centre helping a wide variety of people with a broad range of issues. I have also been contracted to Melon Health as an Emotional Wellness Coach for their 12 week online programme that predominantly helped people manage anxiety and depression. Earlier in my life I lived and worked on a high country station.
