  • I can help you to work through thoughts and feelings to gain new perspectives
  • I can offer strategies and tools to move forward, set goals and plan for the future
  • I can support you on your journey through all kinds of loss and grief

 

About Me:

I am an experienced counsellor with a very flexible approach, which means together we can find a way of working that suits you.  I have worked with cancer patients and their families for a number of  years so I’m very comfortable holding space while talking about difficult things. I have also worked for a number of years in the addictions field.

I use tools and techniques from a range of modalities including Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.

My areas of specialty include Grief, Loss, Bereavement, Anxiety, Depression, Relationship issues, Navigating a Cancer diagnosis and treatment, Cancer Survivorship,  Fear of cancer recurrence, End of life.

Q Registrations

- Full Member of New Zealand Association of Counsellors (MNZAC)
- Member of Psychosocial Oncology NZ (PONZ)

Q Qualifications

- Masters in Counselling
- PG Dip Guidance and Counselling
- BA (Hons) in Psychology
- Certificate in Alcohol and Drug Counselling

Q Appointments

Currently I have availability on Tuesdays.

Q Fees and Payment

- Fees are $120 per individual therapy session
- Payment can be made in cash during the session or via direct deposit (internet banking). Banking details will be provided when the appointment is confirmed.
