Make a Real Difference in Our Community

Living Well Counselling Centre is seeking a compassionate, skilled volunteer counsellor to join our team for one day per week.

About Us: For 35 years, Living Well has been a beacon of hope in the Horowhenua community, providing accessible, affordable counselling to those who need it most. We serve a diverse community from late primary school through to clients in their eighties.

About the Role:

  • Provide counselling services one day per week
  • Work with clients from diverse backgrounds experiencing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and family difficulties
  • Contribute to our inclusive, person-centred approach that honours cultural diversity

Essential Requirements:

  • Full membership with NZAC, NZCCA, or equivalent professional body
  • Inclusive and accessible counselling style suited to community-based practice
  • Neurodiverse affirming practice
  • LGBTQIA+ informed and culturally responsive approach
  • Commitment to working with clients from varied socio-economic backgrounds
